Brave the cold and help raise money for a good cause at this year’s Cupid’s Undie Run 2020, which challenges participants to a one-mile run in their underwear. The event is perfect for a group of friends and includes a four-hour party at Penn Social, a sports bar and arcade.
Taking place near your downtown DC apartment, the event on Feb. 8 isn’t just for serious runners. Many participants walk or dance their way to the finish line. You don’t have to bare it all, either — many people create fun costumes for the event and running in just your underwear isn’t a requirement. But make sure your outfit is appropriate for children and bring clothes to warm up afterward — the event will go on rain, snow, or shine.
Many participants come back year after year and say the event is one of the most fun charity events in the area. There’s music, a lively atmosphere, and you’ll be surrounded by people having a good time.
The run itself is at 2 p.m., but the party runs from 12 to 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to fundraise to support research on neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic disease, and registration is $40.
