Cane Offers a Taste of the Caribbean Near Newseum Residences

We can pretty much guarantee that you’ve never tried a spot like Cane before. This new Caribbean spot serves up authentic street food-inspired cuisine from Trinidad and Tobago. The owners are a brother-sister duo who came to the United States from their home in the Caribbean for school years ago. Their Trinidadian fare has been wowing diners since their opening in late April.

The dishes you’ll find are all fusion plates with African, Asian, French and Spanish influence just like the islands they’re inspired by. The must-try is the paratha tiffin boxes. These boxes are meant to share between two, perfect for your next date night. Each comes with your choice of omnivore or herbivore curry selections, paired with light roti bread and veggies. Start with the jerk wings and you’ll be beyond satisfied. Pair this with one of their smooth Caribbean rum flights or a specialty cocktail that will transport you to another land for the perfect meal.

We can’t wait to hear what you think!
