Walk through some of the richest history you can find in our country while celebrating the 4th of July at the National Archives. The one-of-a-kind celebration lets you in the doors where the Bill of Rights, U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence for which we are celebrating are housed.
The day starts bright and early at 8:00 am where the first 1,000 visitors will actually get a festive t-shirt and American flag, while listening to a local musical group playing brass for all to enjoy. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. there will be a Declaration of Independence reading ceremony with multiple speakers followed by a red, white and blue parade you can’t miss. Throughout the day you’ll also be able to participate in a variety of activities like scavenger hunts and make-your-own colonial wigs at the National Archives.
Head to their website to check out photos of their 2018 celebration to see what you may be missing if you don’t attend!
