Located on the Transit Pier, The Wharf Ice Rink offers beautiful waterfront views of the Washington Channel and East Potomac Park. Opening December 2nd, the rink offers skating lessons for children age four to 11, as well as fun themed nights, such as Rock N Skate with a live DJ on Friday nights from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. While you’re there, treat yourself to some hot beverages and seasonal specialties at the nearby restaurants. The location has become a destination with 20-plus new restaurants and bars, shops from local artisans and global brands, and three music venues.
Located just four blocks from the National Mall, The Wharf is accessible by Metro, a free shuttle bus, and even water taxi. Admission to the skating rink is $10 for adults and $8 for children. There is a $2 discount for active military and senior citizens with valid ID. Skate rentals are $6, and gloves and socks are $5.
