One of the obvious major perks of living in the Newseum Residences is the close proximity to all of the special exhibitions at the Newseum. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in some rich American culture, from now through January of 2018, stop by the Newseum for “1967: Civil Rights at 50.”
The exhibit features photographs and archival newspapers and magazines that show the struggle for racial justice in 1967. The exhibit explores the raw emotion and cultural shifts that took place during this time. Many cultural leaders are featured in the exhibit, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Muhammad Ali. The Newseum also hosts a wide range of exhibits focused around news coverage in America that guests can take advantage of after visiting the 1967 exhibit.
