The Year of Magical Thinking is just one of the many shows gracing the Arena Stage in Washington D.C. this month. The show is based on the memoir of Joan Didion and chronicles her life after her husband's death, her inescapable grief, and how she overcame everything to find joy again.

In the live show, Joan Didion is portrayed by the talented Kathleen Turner. If you’re a fan of theater, then a visit to the Arena Stage is worth a visit. The venue is large and clean, and there are plenty of helpful staff members available to help you find your seat and answer any questions you may have. There is light food available at the theater and beer and wine can be purchased during intermission. There is street parking and garage parking near the theater.

Tickets are available via the Arena Stage website or by telephone.
