While you’re likely used to working out and picnicking outside during warmer weather, you can even take your weekly movie dates to the streets with Screen On the Green! Returning for its 17th season and taking place on the lush, green grass of The National Mall, this summer film festival shows classic and beloved movies on a large projector screen for all to see.
This year’s Screen on the Green begins Monday, July 20, with a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest. It repeats for three Mondays thereafter, and perhaps best of all, it’s totally free to attend! So roll up your favorite blanket, pack a basket full of snacks, and round up some friends from Newseum Residences for a night of cinema fun in one of DC’s most scenic outdoor areas!
